Helping you craft your story
while staying true to your creative vision
Developmental editing, sometimes known as structural editing, is the big picture edit, looking at your work as a whole.
What I’m looking for:
Plot logic, timeline logic, tone, consistency, pacing, character development, dialogue, world building, writing style
. . . And more!
What I’m providing.
I will carefully read your work in progress (of any size) and provide inline commentary with suggestions for rewrites along with a detailed, constructive critique addressing structure, voice, readability, consistencies and anything else I find that may help you develop your work to its potential.
This service includes inline commentary and a separate editorial report (There will be no changes to the document).
Contact me via email with your word count, a little about what you want edited, and I'll reply back with a quote and timeline.
*Prices are for display only and subject to change based on the needs and requirements of the project.
As a Book Coach, I will not only help you finish a novel, I'll help you to become a novelist.
From the first inkling of an idea to publication, be it traditional or self publishing, I have the knowledge, industry experience, passion and drive to see you through to the end. I'm not interested in just the doing, but the becoming.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with you as I guide you in the craft of storytelling and help you to become a successful fiction author in this evolving publishing landscape!
Insightful, constructive and kind, Elizabeth has been a huge help to me on my writing journey.
Elizabeth Jansson-Bush
Book Coach & Editor
I’m Elizabeth, a Book Coach, Developmental Editor, Writer and Content Creator with a HUGE passion for stories. I became a Book Coach because storytelling and helping people fulfil their dreams and reach their goals is at the core of who I am.
Most of my career has been within the book industry. I worked for one of the largest publishing companies in both the publishing and marketing departments for a number of years. I’m also fascinated by the self publishing process, and love the creative and financial control that comes with that decision, so whatever my clients choose, I have the knowledge and skill-base to help guide them toward their chosen path.
As a writer, I’m close to finishing the final draft of my current novel, but I know I could have saved myself years if I’d known about Book Coaching earlier. This is why I am a Book Coach today, because I want to help you save the time and learn the skills using my unique knowledge so you can finally tell the story you’ve been dreaming to tell.
